# Demo pages

# Demo pages

What is in each of the four imported Elementor layouts, and how to turn them into your own site.

## The four pages

| Page | Slug | Template | Contents |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Home** | `/home/` | Page Builder Full Width | Hero, feature grid, testimonials, pricing table, closing CTA |
| **About** | `/about/` | Page Builder Full Width | Company story with headings, paragraphs, and imagery |
| **Services** | `/services/` | Page Builder Full Width | Repeating service sections |
| **Contact** | `/contact/` | Page Builder Full Width | Contact page with a Contact Form 7 shortcode |

Plus **Blog** at `/blog/`, which has no Elementor layout — it renders the theme's own blog index.

## Where the layouts live

Each page is stored as a raw Elementor page document inside the theme:

```text theme={null}
elementor-templates/home.json
elementor-templates/about.json
elementor-templates/services.json
elementor-templates/contact.json
```

> [!NOTE]
>
> **These are not Elementor library templates.** They are not registered in **Templates → My Templates**, and they will not appear there. The demo import reads them directly and writes their content into each page's Elementor data.

That also means: once imported, the pages are ordinary Elementor pages. You edit them like any page you build yourself. There is nothing to unlock and nothing stays linked to the theme.

## Importing them

**Appearance → Vara SaaS Setup → Step 2 → Import demo content**

See [Setup wizard](/introduction/setup-wizard.md) and [Demo content](/introduction/demo-content.md) for what else the import changes.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Re-running the import **overwrites the Elementor content** of all four pages. Any design work you've done on them is lost. Back up first, or save your work as an Elementor template.

## Editing the Home page

**1. Open the page**

**Pages → Home → Edit with Elementor**.

**2. Edit the structure**

Sections are standard Elementor containers. Add, remove, reorder, and duplicate freely.

**3. Replace all the copy**

Every word is placeholder marketing text for a fictional product. Search the site for it before launch.

**4. Set your colors**

Your Customizer brand colors are already applied through Elementor's global palette. Change them in the Customizer, not here.

**5. Save**

![Screenshot: the imported Home page open in Elementor's editor](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/vr-it-services-pro/images/screenshots/demo-pages-home-elementor.png)

### The five Home sections

| Section | Contains |
| - | - |
| **Hero** | Eyebrow label, headline, supporting copy, two call-to-action buttons, a stat card |
| **Features** | Four feature cards, each with an icon, heading, and short description |
| **Testimonials** | Quote cards with attribution |
| **Pricing** | Three pricing tiers with feature lists |
| **CTA** | A closing call to action band |

> [!WARNING]
>
> **The feature cards contain placeholder copy that repeats.** Two of the four cards share the same description text. Treat every line as a draft to rewrite, not as a starting point to keep.

## Editing the About and Services pages

Both follow the same pattern — a series of sections with headings, body copy, and imagery.

> **Keep your brand voice**
>
> The demo copy is enthusiastic third-person marketing prose. Your own voice will almost certainly differ. Rewrite rather than tweak.

> **Replace all imagery**
>
> Demo images are placeholder stock. Replace them with product screenshots, your team, or your workspace.

> **Services works well as a pricing page**
>
> The Services layout is a natural fit for a pricing or plans page if you do not want the Home pricing section.

## The Contact page

> [!WARNING]
>
> **The Contact page ships with a broken form.** It contains a Contact Form 7 shortcode with a fixed form ID — `b73d75a` — that was valid only on the original author's site. On your install that ID does not exist, so the form will not render.

Fix it with these steps:

1. Install and activate **Contact Form 7**
2. Create a form at **Contact → Contact Forms**
3. Set your receiving email and test that delivery works
4. Open the Contact page in Elementor
5. Replace the broken widget with a **Contact Form 7** widget, selecting your new form

Full instructions: [Contact Form 7](/integrations/contact-form-7.md).

## Saving your work as a template

Once you have customized a page, save it so you can reuse it.

**1. Right-click the page in the Navigator panel**

**2. Save as template**

Give it a name and save it to **My Templates**.

**3. Reuse it**

Create a new page, open Elementor, and insert your saved template from the folder panel.

**This is the safe way to iterate**

Save your page as an Elementor template *before* re-running the demo import. If the import
overwrites your work, you can restore the template into the page and continue.

## What is not in the demo

Some things people expect that are not here.

> **No demo blog posts**
>
> The Blog page is empty. You will need to write posts yourself. The theme's blog templates are designed to look good with real content from the first post.

> **No WooCommerce templates**
>
> Nothing shop-related ships with the theme.

> **No inner page templates**
>
> Only Home, About, Services, and Contact. Pricing, FAQ, legal pages, and blog archives are yours to build.

## Checking for leftover demo text

Before you launch, search your site for the demo strings.

**1. Search WordPress content**

**Posts → All Posts** and **Pages → All Pages**, and use the search box for the fictional product name.

**2. Check Elementor content**

Elementor layouts store text in post meta, so a WordPress content search may miss it. Search inside each page in the Elementor editor instead.

**3. Check the footer and menus**

Placeholder links often survive in the footer columns and header CTAs. See [Footer settings](/customization/footer-settings.md) and [Layout settings](/customization/layout-settings.md).

**4. Check the blog hero**

The default hero tagline references infrastructure engineering. Change **Settings → General → Tagline**.

This is item 1 on the [launch checklist](/getting-started/launch-checklist.md).
