General settings

The feature toggles that decide which parts of the theme appear, and where. Admin path: Appearance → Customize → Vara SaaS → General Screenshot: Customizer → Vara SaaS → General with the five toggle controls

Settings

Enable sidebar

A single global switch.
Turn this off if you have no widgets. An empty sidebar still reserves its column on wide screens, which reads as a layout bug. See Sidebars and widgets.

Enable scroll to top button

Off by default in most themes, on here. The button appears after you scroll past roughly one screenful, sits in the lower corner, and uses your Primary and Surface colors. It is keyboard reachable and has an accessible label.
On short pages it never appears — that is correct, not broken. Check it on a long post.

Show page title

Show breadcrumbs

Off by default, and page-only. When enabled, the trail sits above the page content. If Yoast SEO is active, the theme follows Yoast’s breadcrumb settings; otherwise a minimal fallback is generated. Screenshot: breadcrumbs rendering above page content
Breadcrumbs help navigation and can produce richer search results, but they need structured data to be worth much. The theme renders the visible trail; your SEO plugin supplies the markup.

Show theme toggle in navbar

Controls the light/dark switch button in the header.
Turning this off hides the button; it does not disable dark mode. Anyone who previously chose dark mode keeps dark mode. If you want to force light mode for everyone, you need a small code change rather than this toggle. See Dark mode.

What is not in this section

A few things people look for here.
Per-page sidebar control is in the page editor’s Sidebar Settings box, not the Customizer. Post layout is global. See Single post settings.
The footer has social icon links you configure in the Footer section. The theme does not add share buttons to posts.
Use Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS — WordPress’s own control — or a child theme. See CSS and design tokens.
The theme loads assets conditionally based on what the page needs. There is nothing to switch. See Performance.
For a marketing site with no blog sidebar:
  • Enable sidebar — Off
  • Scroll to top — On
  • Show page title — On, unless your content supplies its own h1
  • Show breadcrumbs — Off for marketing pages; consider On for documentation or product pages
  • Theme toggle — On, if you have dark mode styled correctly

Layout settings

Container, navbar, and header CTA buttons.

Single post settings

Controls specific to individual posts.
